Equipment

This is the list of the things we will need during our production for the music video. These will help to create a certain feel to our music video.
  • Camera
  • Phone camera for behind the scenes and other useful key moments.
  • Tripod- to ensure we get some still shots
  • 2 sugar glass bottles for smashing the bottle part, for health & safety reasons we want to use sugar glass bottles.
  • Lighting (colored lighting, if we can get this)
  • Fake Blood (only if we will be using the concept of the bleeding hand)
  • Make-up - red lipstick and black eye make up
  • Neo-light sticks to create a party atmosphere.

Long shot
Quiet place

The 180 degree rule, low angle, wide shot and extreme close up
Richmond Bridge

Close-up (this image will show faintly at some parts to connotate danger)

For the last shot, we are still unaware if it will be in the music video but we are going to attempt to see how it will look.

We believe that the chosen shots are appropriate for our music video because it suitable for the genre  type (alternative rock) but we are also trying to use a number of different shots as the song pace is fast so it's a way to keep up with it. As a majority of the shots are close ups etc. this gives it an intimate feel but also makes the facial expressions expressive and clear and this is important because it is a purely narrative based video.

Bedroom Location

As part of our music video will be shot in doors, in a bedroom. We have decided to use my bedroom for these scenes. Where the main actress will be alone looking at the old photos and listening to the song, and when the girls are getting prepared for the night out. I have took two photos of my room, one at day time and one in the evening. This is to see how it will look during the actual production.

#Daytime
This is during day time, where the girl will be lonely whist reminiscing about the photos. I want to ensure that there will be a glimpse of gloomy darkness to reflect her feelings. So we will need to use lighting effectively.

#Nighttime
Looking at this photo, I think the lighting is perfect for when the girls are getting ready. Because the bright lighting conveys happiness and fun , then again it reflects their mood. But the lighting is also good because the girls make-up will be clearly shown, which will be quite heavy.

This location will be used for all the bedroom scenes. As she will be looking at a photo of her and her friend in the same bedroom getting ready.

Outdoor locations-Kew bridge

This is the location we have decided for the girl's night out scene. The girls will be walking on the bridge with bottles and glow sticks in their hands. Although the road is busy with cars, there are not many people walking around, therefore we would be able to film peacefully without creating a scene or getting in anyones way.

This is the source of lighting that will be used in this shot/location. As we will be filming in the evening, when its getting dark. The street lights will be bright which would give our music video a fun atmosphere.

We can use different angles to shoot one scene, We can film the whole bridge whilst we can see the girls walking around it. This is a wide range and the audience would be able to see the bridge in one frame.

The lighting doesn't exactly look amazing in these pictures, however when we're going to be filming for our production. It would be much darker, therefore the streets will look much more busier.

  1. www very comprehensive and well structured planning. The skills you display are consistent with solid level 3. Important elements like establishing rights and permissions has been successfully undertaken. From initial planning to location recce and testing this is above basic.

ebi improvements can and should be made to the schedule including detailed callsheets. There is also a lack of line between your research and the planning. Nothing here which shows me how the research has influenced your process and why you have made the choices. To improve your level you will need to show more consistent use of media terminology in your work.
